There's a lot to love about this card.  Most of all is the simplity.  Sure the photoss a little grainy, but I love the way the on-card auto pops off this card.  And Rollie's signature is one of the reason I love collecting him.

Been real slow here at the Rollie Fingers Collector.  Rollie has had a few new cards issued for him.  But the majority of those have been autographs or really low numbered relics from some higher end sets.  So I've been focusing elsewhere in my collecting.  But I picked this gem up a while back.  Treat ProAutographs put out a bunch of different retired and current players using different cards.  I'm not sure what they retailed for.  Rollie's card is a 1992 Upper Deck Heroes of Baseball #H7.  To make this even more interesting Upper Deck also put out an autographed version of this card hand numbered to 3000.

On the Radar - 2016 Topps Legacies of Baseball

It's somewhat of a surprise to see Rollie feature in the set, as Topps really hasn't been giving Rollie the time of day and to be honest it's only one card with a couple parallels, but it's a start.

Rollie is featured in the Traditions Autograph set.  The base cards will be serial numbered and so will all the parallels of which there are 4.  Green, print run not stated, Purple, print run not stated, Red #/5, and Black #/1.

This is a new issue for Topps, but it looks like Topps Fire and Topps Valor had a baseball baby.  I'll reserve judgement until I see actually images of the cards though. This is also a pretty pricey set with boxes going for between $150-200.  You get one pack per box, 4 cards per pack.  2 autos, 1 Vault Metal card, and one parallel numbered to 99 or less.

I knew that eventually I'd end up picking up one of Rollie's cards from Topps' Archives Signature Series.  Unlike my other main player collection, Robin Yount, who's cards are super limited, Rollie has a lot of cards and most of them are relatively serial numbered high.  Of course calling a card serial numbered to just 34 a large print run is kind of ridiculous, but compared to a lot of the other players in the set, Rollie really does have a lot of cards to choose from.  After trying waiting a while I settled on a couple examples I'd like to add.  This 1982 was kind one of them.  For one it features him in a Brewers uniform, the card is numbered to Rollies player number, and I really love the 82 design. Plus you get his on card signature right next to his Topps facsimile one.  All of these card come slabbed with in a one touch with a Topps sticker sealing it shut.  The best part was this card cost me under $10 delivered!  This is why I won't gamble on high end stuff like this.  I know this has come down in price, but still $60 buck for a single card of who knows?  

Still a great addition.

2015 Panini Cooperstown auto

My last pick new pick up was another one of Rollies Cooperstown cards.  This time it's his base autograph from the Cooperstown HOF Signatures set.  With all the low numbered parallels with the set it was driving me crazy so I settled on just picking up a cheap auto no matter if it was the unnumbered base auto or one of the other parallels.  And I'm happy with what I got.  I was able to pick this autograph up for under $10 delivered as well so not too shabby and I love that all the autos are on card and I like that it lists Rollie as a Brewer.

I recent years Rollie has been totally neglected by Topps.  Luckily Panini still includes him in their Cooperstown offering and he has quite a few cards in the set.  

I ended up picking up a few all for great prices.  I was able to pick up this Induction insert autograph for under $10 delivered so I'm a happy camper.  I get to add a new Rollie card and an autograph to the collection and still have money left over for a cheeseburger.

I have to say I really like this card. A great picture of Rollie giving his induction speech. The autograph is on card and Rollie still has one of the best autos in the biz.  I love that he has such a consistent and beautiful signature. It shows he takes his time.

Please excuse the scratches they aren't on the card they are on the top loader, which I need to replace.

2014 Panini Hall of Fame 75th Anniversary Autograph #91

Here is the other Rollie auto I picked up recently.  The companion to the previously featured card #57.  While neither card mentions any team, this card is attributed to the Brewers and his card #57 was attributed to the Athletics.  I'm not sure why Rollie got two autographed cards in the set and didn't get a base card, but that's ok with me.  This card also has 5 serial numbered and colored parallels.  

2014 Panini Hall of Fame 75th Anniversary Baseball Autograph #57

It only took most of the year, but Rollie is finally getting a few new cards issued.  

Rollie has not one, but two different Autographs in Panini's Hall of Fame 75th Anniversary set.  And all the numbered parallels for both cards too.  Being patient pays off again as I was able to pick this auto up for a little over $7 plus shipping, which put the card right at about ten bucks which is sadly what Rollie Finger's autographs tend to go for.  But I'll take any new Rollie card for the collection especially if it's an autograph issue. 

2000 Upper Deck Legends Legendary Signatures Autograph card.

It's looking like another dismal year for new Rollie cards, but that just means we can focus on picking up great cards of yore.  Just in is this great 2000 Upper Deck Legends Legendary Signatures autograph card.

The one thing I really don't like about this card is the fact that Rollie is featured wearing an Upper Deck hat. What's up with that?  Looking at a few of the other cards in this set all that I could find have the inset picture with the player with a team hat.  

It's still a great looking card and the auto is on card which is always awesome.  Having such a nice big space for him to sign you get a great looking signature.  Add to that that this card was less than a ten dollar bill delivered and it's another great addition to the collection

2013 Panini Cooperstown Signatures #d to 199

My first 2013 Rollie Fingers card.  He's only got 3 real cards so far this year. All three are in Panini's Cooperstown set.  All are inserts.  He has two autos and a Coglan's disc.

And so I figure why not get the rarest of the cards first.  I feel like I stole this card.  I won this card for $2.25. The sellers shipping was a little on the high side which is probably why the card went for so little, but I ended up paying $6.25 delivered and I'll take that anyday for a certified Rollie Fingers on card auto. Especially one numbered to only 199.  His other auto in the set is numbered to 700 and right now I'm having trouble finding one that's not way over priced.

But here is the newest addition to the collection.

Panini Cooperstown Auto

Just got my second Rollie auto in the mail this week.  I found this one for an insanely good price right after I found that Golden Age auto.  Sure it's a sticker auto, but the card is numbered to just 19.  As a matter of fact it's 19/19.  Which would have been an awesome card had this been a Robin Yount auto.  It's still awesome as a Rollie card, but I could give a crap of the serial number the seller was so proud of.

Welcome to the collection.  Now who wants a mushtache ride?

The Golden Age

So if you haven't heard Topps extended their exclusive deal till the next decade, but the MLBPA gave Upper Deck a new license and I'm sure Panini will hold onto there's as well.  Last year and part of this year Panini put out three Hall of Fame sets more or less.  There first one was Cooperstown and there second was Golden Age.

Both sets and National Treasures have no logos and Panini got away from having that old food issue look by  cropping out logos and using black and white photos and not airbrushing out stuff.   In Golden Age they also put out Tobacco size minis most of which I still need to pick up for Rollie here.

Rollie has a base card which I featured, but he also has a nice auto in the set.

So here we have Rollie Fingers' Panini Golden Age Historic Signatures card.  The best part about this card other than I got it for a steal is that it's signed on card.  

I also like that Panini went retro with the backs.

Mission Accomplished - 2012 Panini Cooperstown Rollie Fingers Auto

Last post, which I admit was a while ago, I stated I was trying to get Rollie's 2012 Panini Cooperstown auto card and get it for under $10.  And while I would have loved to picked this card up for under $10 delivered I still managed to meet my objective and the card had reasonable shipping.

Panini Cooperstown is kind of hit or miss.  While I like the base design, Panini doing what they can with what they have, I really like the look of this Signatures.  Robin Yount also has a card in this set, but only numbered to 100 and I haven't been able to get a hold of one of those yet.  But another great Rollie Fingers autograph gets added to the collection.

Great googaly moogally!! A new Rollie auto lands in the super collection.

I picked up Rollies' Leaf National base card pretty much as soon as the National was over and everyone was listing their goodies on eBay, but this card popped up a few weeks ago and blew me away.  I didn't know that Leaf had auto variations of these cards.

Yeah it's a sticker auto, but...

It's numbered only to 5!! And this is the only one I've seen listed and I got it for less than the price of a blaster.  Welcome to the collection.
